Hi everyone. I'd like to start using RSF immediately to write some Sakai apps. However, I continually get the output below when I try to open the page on RSFHello or the basic RSFCookbook. I've tried both the 6.0 release and .1-dev trunk, on an Intel iMac OS X and PowerPC Ubuntu linux. It seems to keep running into the ClassCastException below. Any suggestions?

I *can* however drop in the 0.5 binary war and have it work. Would it be bad to just start using 0.5 and move over to .6 later? I'd like to get going as soon as possible with my apps. ( I do understand that this is prelease software and may take a little extra kicking ).

This was caused by trying to deploy the "servlet" build of HelloWorld into a tomcat containing Sakai. In general make sure that any webapps in a Sakai container *avoid* deploying the JAR for Spring into their own lib, otherwise they will blow up on contact. This is a ClassLoader issue that can't be resolved, as a result of having a tomcat-wide application context.

The Sakai builds for RSF tools either delete the Spring jars from their image, or make sure they never get deployed.
